About the event
If you could find out which foods to avoid and which to double down on to preserve brain health, wouldn't you want to do that?
Research shows that certain foods can increase the risk of cognitive decline. In this Food for Life class, you'll learn more about the foods that support brain health and cook-along to make simple dishes that demonstrate how easy plant-based cooking can be.
Drawing from the book Power Foods for the Brain by Dr. Neal Barnard, the class will guide participants through the research supporting a low-fat
plant-based diet for maintaining brain function and minimizing risk for cognitive decline. Cook along or watch as we make delicious recipes from a selection of brain "power foods". You'll receive resources and handouts of easy and affordable recipes to prepare at home.
